Based on the National Center for Education Statistics' (NCES) surveys of public libraries (1974), public school library/media centers (1974), and academic libraries (1975), this assessment of library needs presents statistical data on libraries in the state of Colorado. Resources examined include staff, collection materials, acquisition of materials, space, and hours of access. Operating expenditures are also examined. The report provides a rundown of key findings, analyzes the data, shows limited and approximate indicators for school library/media centers, and describes the research methodology.
