Gender Differences in Attributions about Microcomputer Learning in Elementary School.
D'Amico, Miranda; And Others
Sex Roles: A Journal of Research, v33 n5-6 p353-85 Sep 1995
Investigated whether elementary school girls' attributions about computer use follow a pattern of learned helplessness. Results from drill-and-practice and tutorial tasks involving 220 children show girls benefited from increased exposure time and that attributions to ease of task and ability predicted performance for both boys and girls. Increased exposure time to the tutorial did not benefit either sex. (GR)
