International Journal on E-Learning, v23 n4 p443-455 2024
This mixed methods study investigates the role of AI chatbots in assisting preservice teachers with creating differentiated lesson plans that emphasise student diversity and inclusion within an online learning environment. By conducting a comparative analysis of preservice teachers utilising AI chatbots versus those who did not, the research examines how interactive exchanges with AI can deepen understanding of diverse learning needs. The findings underscore the benefits of AI tools in fostering reflective and inclusive teaching practices, offering accessible, patient, and adaptive guidance that enhances self-efficacy. These outcomes have implications for research, policy, and pedagogical practices in online learning and teaching.
