Periodic adaptations of the curriculum to new needs with continuous analysis of results and feedback are some of the functions performed in many Asian countries by an institution called a Curriculum Development Centre (CDC). The first part of the study analyzes the function of a CDC, examines in general terms what sort of facilities are needed, taking into account the links existing between a CDC and other educational institutions, and illustrates with diagrams the general structure of a CDC in terms of its functional components and the grouping of facilities in it. The range of variations of a CDC regarding the staff and the construction area provided is shown through three models. The second part of the study suggests a typology of spaces designed to meet the basic needs of a CDC and applies it to the various sectors. The chapters correspond to the various functional groups. Each includes a detailed breakdown of the staff and construction area (three models) as well as a development of the proposed typology (sketch plans).
