Veterans' Education and Employment Assistance Act of 1976; Hearings before the Subcommittee on Readjustment, Education, and Employment of the Committee on Veterans' Affairs, United States Senate, Ninety-Fourth Congress, First Session, on S. 969 and Related Bills. October 1 and 2, 1975. Part 3.
Congress of the U.S., Washington, DC. Senate Committee on Veteran's Affairs.
The complete text of the U.S. Senate bill 969 hearings is presented in four volumes. Parts 1 and 2 cover the first day of the hearings; parts 3 and 4 cover the second day. (S. 969 would extend the maximum entitlement of educational assistance benefits for eligible Vietnam era veterans from 36 to 45 months. The bill restricts this extension to undergraduates. At issue is the removal of this restriction to extend the maximum entitlement for use in obtaining a graduate degree.) Part 3 contains the "Educational Vocational Opportunities Survey (TRADOC)" (July 1975); the "Manpower Research and Data Analysis Center (MARDAC)" preliminary results (May 1975 AFEES Survey); the "Educational Benefits Analysis," an examination of the effects of GI bill education benefits on service accessions (HUMRRO) (November 1975); "Conclusions and Implications from the Analysis of Educational Benefits" (HUMRRO) (February 1976); military publicity pamphlets; "Military Pay Muddle," excerpts from a study by the Brookings Institution, Washington, D.C.; "Value of Quality Soldiers to the Army," a memorandum by the Department of the Army; "Youth in Transition," (volume V, excerpts by the Institute for Social Research, University of Michigan); and miscellaneous articles and statements relating to an all-volunteer military force, and other materials.
