Apryl Alyse Trimble-Washington
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Mississippi College
This dissertation investigated the perceptions of community college and secondary employee perceptions on the benefits of dual enrollment and career and technical education pathways. This study examined the differences between the perceptions by roles and years of experience. This topic was chosen as dual enrollment career and technical education pathways becomes a viable choice for students furthering their careers and/or entering the workforce. Nevertheless, research suggested that dual enrollment and career technical education pathways is not the most favorable option. In the United States, high school graduates lack both knowledge and skills necessary for college and today's workforce. Therefore, this study analyzed perceptions related to the effectiveness and growing needs of career technical education and dual enrollment future trajectories.
