Middle school business and technology educators were surveyed to examine how professional organizations could meet their professional development needs. A 26 percent response rate (n = 148) was received from middle school educators in 37 states. This research was designed to identify the business and technology courses being taught at the middle school level and to determine the professional development needs of middle school business and technology educators. The goal of this study was to determine the role that professional organizations could play in meeting the professional development needs of middle school business and technology educators.
