A Profile of the Federal TRIO Programs and Child Care Access Means Parents in School Program
US Department of Education
To help fulfill the goal of No Child Left Behind, the bipartisan K-12 education reform signed into law by Congress in 2002, high-quality postsecondary education opportunities must be available to all students. In keeping with this goal, the Federal TRIO programs and Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) program provide outreach and support to help low-income and first-generation college students, and students with disabilities progress through the academic pipeline from middle school to postbaccalaureate programs. This report provides program and statistical information on the following programs: (1) Educational Opportunity Centers; (2) The Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program; (3) The Student Support Services Program; (4) Talent Search; (5) The Training Program for Federal TRIO Programs; (6) The TRIO Dissemination Partnership; (7) Upward Bound and Veterans Upward Bound; (8) Upward Bound Math and Science; and (9) The Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) program.
