Classroom Activities and Areas: Regularity of Use and Perceptions of Adaptability by General Early Educators.
Wolery, Mark; And Others
Early Education and Development, v5 n3 p181-94 Jul 1994
Investigated whether early childhood classroom activities and areas differed between mainstreamed and nonmainstreamed classrooms, and assessed difficulty of adapting them for disabled children. Respondents reported wide range of activities and areas that were moderately easy to adapt for disabled children. Findings suggest mainstreaming does not restrict normal children's activities and making necessary adaptations is not too difficult for staff. (TM)
