Watkins, David; Hattie, John – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1980
Results of an Australian study of the Biggs Study Process Questionnaire (SPQ) are presented. Watkins, David; Akande, Adebowale – Assessment and Evaluation in Higher Education, 1992
A study investigated the reliability and validity of the Study Process Questionnaire (Biggs) for 352 undergraduates in a Nigerian university. Watkins, David – Australian Journal of Education, 1982
An investigation of study habits of 540 Australian college sophomores casts doubt on the validity of one model and suggests some adjustments in it. The relationship of study habits to subject area, age, and sex, and the model's usefulness in predicting academic achievement are examined. (MSE)

Watkins, David – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1986
Learning processes, as measured by the Approaches to Studying Inventory, contributed to the prediction of freshman grades of 181 Australians. Other measures, such as college entrance examinations, locus of control, and student background characteristics, had less predictive ability. (GDC)
