Wallbrown, Fred H.; Cowger, Doris – Psychology in the Schools, 1982
Administered the Survey of Reading Attitudes to 235 intermediate-grade students in a suburban parochial school. Results indicate the development of reading attitudes is influenced by a variety of variables, and suggests school systems should determine their own local norms for the eight dimensions measured by the survey. Wallbrown, Fred H.; Blaha, John – Measurement and Evaluation in Guidance, 1981
Used stepwise regression procedures to determine classroom behaviors associated with eight dimensions of reading attitudes among inner-city fifth graders. Wallbrown, Fred H.; Wisneski, Phillip D. – Psychology in the Schools, 1981
Represents a collection of normative data for the survey of reading attitudes using a sample of (N=90) inner city remedial readers. Reliability estimates for Expressed Reading Difficulty and Reading as Enjoyment justify their use in making inferences about students. Lowest reliability was for Alternative Learning Modes. (JAC)
