A sample of 161 undergraduate students completed a questionnaire measuring their preferences for expertise, genuineness, trust, acceptance, understanding, outcome, and directiveness. These data were compared with data previously obtained about students' expectations of counseling, and the relationship among sex, college class, and preferences for counseling was examined. (Author)
