This publication provides projections of statistics for elementary and secondary schools and institutions of higher education. Projections for the 10-year period from 1971-72 to 1980-81 are made for enrollments, graduates, teachers, and expenditures. Based mainly on 1960-61 to 1970-71 Office of Education data, the projections primarily assume that the past 11 years' trends in enrollment rates, retention rates, class sizes, and per pupil expenditures will continue through 1980-81.
