Assessed attitudes toward the university, extracurricular activities, academic life, and counseling held by first-year Hispanic students (n=31) entering predominantly white university. Results revealed that Hispanic students appeared to enroll in university for practical, career-oriented reasons. Respondents reported that they would seek counseling for educational/vocational issues. Study habits were reported to be the respondents' greatest academic weakness. (Author/NB)
