Incoming university freshmen (n=752) completed an anonymous questionnaire, and their responses were analyzed by percentages, analysis of variance, and factor analysis. Results showed less of a gap between attitudes and behavior than was found in past studies. New roles for student personnel workers are discussed. (Author)

A questionnaire was administered to 419 university freshmen and results were compared with previous freshmen. Results indicate that more freshmen have tried marijuana than in previous years but there are fewer regular users. Males had a higher incidence of use of marijuana, while females reported a higher incidence of speed use. (Author)
