Mountain Plains Learning Experience Guide: Automotive Repair. Course: Tools and Equipment.

One of twelve individualized courses included in automotive repair curriculum, this course focuses on the identification and proper use of basic hand tools, precision tools, and general shop equipment. The course is comprised of three units: (1) Basic Tools, (2) Special Tools, and (3) Shop Equipment. Each unit begins with a Unit Learning Experience Guide that gives directions for unit completion. The remainder of the unit consists of Learning Activity Packages (LAP) that provide specific information for completion learning activity. Each LAP is comprised of the following parts: objective, evaluation procedure, resources, procedure, supplemental sheets, study guide, and a LAP test with answers. The course is preceded by a pretest which is designed to direct the student to units and performance activities. (LRA)
