A Cost-Benefit Analysis of Educational Investment in Venezuela: 1989 Update.
Fiszbein, Ariel; Psacharopoulos, George
Economics of Education Review, v12 n4 p293-98 Dec 1993
Uses data from the 1989 Venezuelan Household Survey to assess macropriorities among educational investment in that country. An earnings analysis by educational level reveals persisting, if declining, advantages for the more educated. The cost-benefit analysis indicates that primary education yields the highest returns, whereas higher education exhibits the lowest returns on educational investment. (MLH)
