The Relationships among Change, Programme Type and Facilitation Technique in Adventure Programming.
Priest, Simon
Journal of Adventure Education and Outdoor Leadership, v13 n2 p22-26 Sum 1996
Type of adventure program (recreational, educational, developmental, or therapeutic) is determined by its purpose for change, not its client population. Facilitation techniques used in different types of adventure programs include letting the experience speak for itself, interpreting the experience, debriefing clients on the experience, direct frontloading, isomorphic framing, and indirect frontloading through paradox or reframing.
