Venetian Hills Elementary School: 1986-87 School Report.

This report from the Venetian Hills Elementary School in Atlanta (Georgia) provides information on student achievement for the 1986-87 school year. The narrative presents 24 findings concerning enrollment, attendance, reading achievement, and math achievement. Conclusions and recommendations generated from these findings are the following: (1) kindergarten students performed at the systemwide level; (2) first grade students performed higher in math than in reading; (3) almost all third grade students passed the criterion-referenced test the first time; (4) 92 percent of students at all the grade levels were promoted; (5) kindergarten students must be given special help in math; and (6) first-graders must be encouraged to complete the basal materials.
