Designed for teachers, this booklet, written in Spanish, contains information on nine April events: Dia de los Tontos; Pascua de Resurreccion; Thomas Jefferson; Jose de Diego; Rosendo Matienzo Cintron; James Buchanan; Ulysses S. Grant; James Monroe; and Dia del Arbol. An overview of Dia de los Tontos is provided. Following brief descriptions of the customs and legends of the Pascua de Resurreccion and of the highlights of the Cuaresma (Lent) celebration (Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, Easter Sunday, and Holy Week) are a short story on the Holy Week, a poem by Luis Munoz Marin ("Escuchanos"), and the recipes for making Serenata, Bacalao a la Vizcaina, and Pescado en Escabeche. Brief biographical sketches of Thomas Jefferson, Jose de Diego, Rosendo Matienzo Cintron, James Buchanan, Ulysses S. Grant, and James Monroe summarize their accomplishments. Five poems by Jose de Diego are included: "Ultima Actio,""En la Brecha,""El Canto de las Piedras,""A Laura," and "El Ojo del Agua." The last section provides an overview of Dia del Arbol, a short essay on the uses of the tree, and a poem by Luis Llorens Torres ("Mayaguez Sabe a Mango").
