Family Environment and Adolescent Depressive Symptoms and Antisocial Behavior: A Multivariate Genetic Analysis.
Pike, Alison; And Others
Developmental Psychology, v32 n4 p590-603 Jul 1996
Examines the extent to which substantial differences in the attitudes of children from the same family are mediated by nonshared environmental processes or by genetic factors. Results suggested that parental and sibling negativity is significantly related to adolescent adjustment through nonshared environmental processes, although genetic factors account for most of the association between parental negativity and adolescent adjustment.
