The Impact of the Newer Television Technologies on Television Satisfaction.
Perse, Elizabeth M.; Ferguson, Douglas A.
Journalism Quarterly, v70 n4 p843-53 Win 1993
Finds that use of new television technologies (cable television, videocassette recorders, and remote control devices) had an impact on receiving, pass-the-time, and companionship gratifications from television viewing. Shows that instrumental viewing motives, television exposure, and receiving informational gratifications from television viewing were the strongest predictors of television satisfaction. (SR)
