Business Computer Applications I. Curriculum Guide.
Patton, Jan
This guide contains instructional materials for a course designed to provide students with a business computer applications background and skills that will not only prepare them for an entry-level position, but that will transfer through articulation to community colleges and later to four-year colleges. Introductory pages of the curriculum guide list procedures for use; a suggested scope and sequence; and essential elements for this guide (concepts and skills). Each of the six sections contains the essential elements, suggested unit lesson plans, answer sheets, and terminology for the units within the section. Each of the 12 units contain both unit and specific objectives, unit overview, lesson plan, activities and competency tests with answers, terminology, competency checklists--correlated with the specific elements of the course, and lists of print and audiovisual resources. Units cover data processing, information processing, electronic spreadsheets, information management, business application software, and social implications. Appendixes include references and resources addresses, course descriptions, essential elements, suggested equipment list, modification for special needs students, Texas articulation guidelines, Bloom's Taxonomy, and additional handouts, activities, and tests.
