Ten Tips for Using Co-Planning Time More Efficiently
Murawski, Wendy W.
TEACHING Exceptional Children, v44 n4 p8-15 Mar-Apr 2012
In this era of collaboration, educators are frequently expected to co-plan with one another on a regular basis. Unfortunately, the expectation of co-planning is not often accompanied by the time required or by the strategies necessary to plan effectively and efficiently for the inclusive classroom. This article provides 10 concrete tips for co-planning, in addition to detailed instructions on how to structure co-planning time using the "What/How/Who" approach. An example of a differentiated, co-planned lesson is provided. (Contains 2 figures and 2 tables.)
