A statistical report on public broadcasting describes the status of the industry for 1973. Six major subject areas are covered: development of public broadcasting, finance, employment, broadcast and production, national interconnection services, and audiences of public broadcasting. Appendixes include supplementary tables showing facilities, income by source and state, percent distribution of broadcast hours, in-school broadcast hours, and listings of public radio and public television stations on the air as of June 30, 1973.
