Predicting Preschoolers' Peer Behavior and Status from Their Interpersonal Strategies: A Comparison of Verbal and Enactive Responses to Hypothetical Social Dilemmas.
Mize, Jacquelyn; Ladd, Gary W.
Developmental Psychology, v24 n6 p782-88 Nov 1988

This suggests that preschool children automatically access cognitive scripts for behavior in social interactions. (RH)
