Examines the influence of parental education and behaviors on 9th graders' (N=236) career exploration. Results indicate that parental authoritativeness, openness to adolescents' issues, and concern with promoting career exploration significantly related to the career exploration by their children, independent of parental educational background and adolescent gender.
