The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) collects institution-level data from postsecondary institutions in the United States (50 states and the District of Columbia) and other jurisdictions, such as Puerto Rico. In 2005-2006, participation in IPEDS was a requirement for the 6,622 institutions and 83 administrative offices (central or system offices) that participated in Title IV federal student financial aid programs, such as Pell Grants or Stafford Loans during the 2005-06 academic year. Tabulations in this report present selected data items collected from the 6,457 Title IV institutions in the United States (excluding those in other jurisdictions) that were eligible for at least one component of the spring 2006 collection. In addition, 80 administrative offices in the United States were eligible for the Finance component and are included in the Finance tabulations. Topics covered are characteristics of enrolled students, revenues and expenses of Title IV institutions, graduation rates, and student financial aid.
