Developed for a quinmester unit on the Dickens family for the high school, this guide provides the teacher with teaching strategies for a course of study designed to familiarize the student with aspects of Victorian England through the multiple works of Charles Dickens. Works to be read and studied include "Oliver Twist,""Tale of Two Cities,""A Christmas Carol,""Pickwick Papers,""David Copperfield," and "Great Expectations." The range of subject matter covers the world conditions preceding Dickens, the times of Charles Dickens. The guide is arranged by performance objectives with suggested teaching strategies listed under each objective.
