Results indicated school grade, controlled for age, was the only client predictor variable found to account for more than one percent of the variance in the "Reasons for Discharge." Examines characteristics that predict treatment outcomes for adolescents in inpatient (N=157) versus outpatient (N=296) treatment. Results show that a number of the characteristics found prognostics for adolescents are different from those reported from other studies for adult substance abusers. (MKA)
