This annotated bibliography provides information on Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia in older adults. Written for both educators and consumers, citations especially appropriate for family caregivers, friends, neighbors, and other family members are identified with an asterisk (*). A brief introduction discusses the incidence of Alzheimer's disease in this country and recognizes the needs of caregivers. Citations in the bibliography are organized under the categories of: (1) books; (2) brochures; (3) journals on Alzheimer's disease; (4) special editions on dementia; and (5) videos. Also included are lists of sources of additional information and organizations concerned with issues of aging, as well as the name and address of the reviewer who helped in the selection of materials to be included in the bibliography.
