The study was an attempt to reduce home career conflict experimentally by providing a measure of social sanction for professionally demanding career roles, and to measure the effect of this reduction on home and career interests. Results indicate that regardless of marital status, vocational interest can be raised. Implications for counseling are presented. (Author/CJ)
