Presents a brief overview of the literature on Hispanic groups, describes a conceptual framework for examining value orientations within the Hispanic culture, and presents a series of recommendations for group leaders interested in developing Hispanic groups. (Author)

The power of murals as a community communication medium and as a community building process is explored from a theoretical base in the concept of "free spaces" and "community strengths" with particular reference to murals in Latino communities.
