Designed to develop creativity in young learners, this book contains interdisciplinary activities which focus on the theme of electricity and magnetism. Activity pages are provided that can serve as front and back covers of a student booklet and the suggested activities can be duplicated for insertion between the covers resulting in a booklet for each student. A teacher/parent guide is included and supplies background information, activity descriptions, materials needed, and possible answers for the activities. Exercises that are found on even-numbered pages can be done by the teacher at school and those found on odd-numbered pages can be done by parents at home. A process skill is identified for each exercise. The activities focus on such aspects of the subject as: (1) electrical safety; (2) electrical terms; (3) flashlight parts and operations; (4) conductors of electricity; (5) electrical wiring; and (6) electrical consumption.
