The first part of the manual contains questions and answers in the following areas: general credit, creditworthiness, establishing good credit, credit history and credit reporting services, understanding interest rates, credit arrangements on charge accounts, applying for a credit card or charge account, using a credit card, applying for a loan, denial of credit, billing errors, warranties, and handling money. The section on assertiveness discusses assertive asking and assertive resistance. Other materials include model letters, glossary, sources of help bibliography, eye contact and assertiveness checklists, worksheets for credit cards, credit analysis and warranties, and suggested situations for role play.
