Examined correlations among reticence constructs by factor-analyzing each of the following measures: Personal Report of Communication Apprehension, Unwillingness-to-Communicate Scale, and Writing Apprehension Test. Produced a seven-factor solution for factor analysis of all communication reticence. (PD)

Examines the relationship between oral and written communication reticence and the following dimensions: verbal productivity, lexical diversity, language complexity, comprehensibility, and language intensity. Concludes that the different dimensions do affect verbalizations, but they are neither equal nor parallel in their effects. (PD)
