Argues that "career" and "personal" counseling should not be viewed as different types as counseling because holistic philosophy of counseling emphasizes helping "whole" persons whose lives contain many roles; research in implications of gender and race for career development further demonstrates inseparability of career and personal lives; and there are numerous commonalities in "career" and "personal" counseling process.
