Prototype Training Program for the Preparation of Curriculum Consultants for Exceptional Children. Instructor's Manual for Module 8.0: Developing/Materials and Media. Competencies 8.1 through 8.3.
Meyen, Edward L.; Altman, Reuben
Part 8 of a series of 13 instructor's manuals for the competency based training of curriculum consultants for exceptional children focuses on the development of materials and media. Three competencies are considered: (1) that a curriculum consultant should be capable of providing direction in the development of teacher made instructional materials, (2) that a curriculum consultant should be capable of maximizing the use of instructional media by the teaching staff, and (3) that a curriculum consultant should be capable of providing direction in the establishment or revision of a local resource center. Among materials included in the manual are lists of behavioral objectives for the module, enabling activities, and evaluation criteria for each of the competency components. Space is provided for the instructor to list resources and comments for the activities provided for each component. A conference record sheet is included for each of the three competencies. (PHR)
