Student Attitude Toward Instructional Games.
Adair, Charles H.; Allen, Rodney F.
This is an individually administered rating scale designed to evaluate teacher trainee attitudes toward a social simulation game of didactic teaching entitled "Explanation." A major goal of the scale is to seek responses that measure students' reactions to the cognitive interest and motivational nature of the learning game through the use of Likert-type items. The scale provides three subscales that deal with the attitudinal components of interest satisfaction, cognitive growth and achievement motivation. The scale is not standardized and further modification may be expected as a result of further research. Internal consistency measures of scale and subscales were computed on the basis of the Kuder-Richardson 20 estimate of reliability. Data yielded an estimated r of .95. (AE)
