Now, Here's the Weather Forecast...
Richardson, Mathew
Primary Science, n129 p9-11 Sep 2013
The Met Office has a long history of weather forecasting, creating tailored weather forecasts for customers across the world. Based in Exeter, the Met Office is also home to the Met Office Hadley Centre, a world-leading centre for the study of climate change and its potential impacts. Climate information from the Met Office Hadley Centre is used by the United Kingdom Government to inform policy decisions and to support negotiations at international summits. In this article, Mathew Richardson from the Met Office explains what the national weather service can offer teachers to help teach about the science behind weather and forecasting.
