This curriculum guide is designed for 11th- and 12th-grade students or for adults who are interested in pursuing a career in the financial institution field. It can be used as a stand-alone curriculum for an entry-level career as a proof operator, who proofs financial transactions for accuracy and codes them for posting. The guide contains one unit of instruction with some or all of these components: performance objectives, suggested activities for the instructor, information sheets, assignment sheets, job sheets, transparency masters, tests, and answers to test and assignment sheets. Units of instruction are designed for use in more than one lesson or class period of instruction. An instructional supplement provides suggestions for teaching the basic skills included in each assignment sheet or job sheet.
