This product consists of a manual, gameboard (with two sides), card decks (with addresses for starting point and destination), and manipulatives (four game pieces, flag marker, cut-out game pieces--people and bus). Only the manual has been processed and filmed here. This product presents a language-based approach to teaching map, transportation, telephone directory, and simple writing skills to teenagers and young adults. Specific abilities targeted include map use; ability to use a bus schedule in real-life situations; writing letters using appropriate grammar, sentence structure, and paragraph format; and appropriately addressing envelopes. Reproducible score sheets, phone directories and bus schedules, progress charts, and pretest and postest checklists are included. The manual describes 11 variations on the basic map game and 23 activities focusing on specific skills. (PB)
