This textbook aims to meet the foreign-born woman's pressing need of ability to understand and converse with the doctor, the nurse, and the teacher concerning her family and home for their present and future improvement. It is hoped that teachers using the book will supplement it with other simple lessons, health pamphlets, home and neighborhood activities, and any other material suggested by the interest and conversation that may be stimulated in class work. Exercises and words to study are included.
