This handbook provides students at the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit Adult Education Center with information about the General Educational Development (GED) test, staff, alumni association, programs and services, and rules and regulations. It provides a summary of Adult Center programs, lists rules, and contains practical information on location, emergencies, and schedule. The handbook also contains information on the Pennsylvania Association for Adult Continuing Education, resources and referrals, and the Job Training Office. These ancillary services are also described: counseling services, child care and transportation, tutors, and the Guidance Information System. The following information on the GED program is provided: eligibility for testing and for the diploma, history, attendance, schedules, GED test format, and descriptions of the various parts of the test. Other contents include information on graduation and the GED Alumni Association, questions from the students (with answers), student comments on the GED experience, and information on the staff. (YLB)
