The Summary of Performance (SOP) serves as the link between high school and post-school experiences by providing a document that includes evaluation records, post-school goals, and accommodations to support attainment of post-school goals for students with disabilities (Richter & Mazzotti, 2011). A well-developed SOP will provide transition personnel (e.g., adult service providers, colleges and universities, high schools), students, and families with a resource to facilitate a student's transition into post-school life (Izzo & Kochhar-Bryant, 2006). The purpose of this annotated bibliography is to provide special education professionals and researchers with guidelines and suggestions for completing SOPs to facilitate students' successful transition to postsecondary life.
