The monograph presents, in tabular form, data from a biannual survey on the non-credit instructional activities of the State University of New York (SUNY). The steadily increasing number of non-credit instructional activities offered, especially at the community college level, possibly due to the availability of state funds to help community colleges conduct training for local businesses and industries is noted. Part I includes information on non-credit activities and registrations from a SUNY-wide perspective; Part II provides non-credit trend data from 1983 through 1989; Part III includes a listing of all non-credit activities offered at SUNY colleges and universities from July 1, 1989, through December 31, 1989, by subject areas. A map locating the institutions of the State University, a chronology of dates of establishment of institutions of the State University of New York, and a list of publications from the Office of Institutional Research are also provided.
