This technical assistance guide is designed to assist trainers, planners, administrators, researchers, librarians, counselors, and advocates involved with Ohio older worker programs and policies with the range of resources, services, and expertise available to them. Discussed in the individual sections of the guide are available resources dealing with the following topics: the aging network and advocacy groups (Federal, state, and area administrative agencies, administrative organizations, membership organizations, and professional organizations); employment and training, including Federal and state administrative agencies, service delivery areas, and national and state organizations concerned with the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA); Congressional committees developing older worker policy; employment policy and research (organizations addressing employment policy in general and those dealing with employment policy as it affects women); the Senior Community Service Employment Program; work options and organizations concerned with them; organizations and centers serving displaced homemakers; and recommended handbooks and guides for practitioners serving older workers. Appendixes to the manual include maps of planning and service areas and service delivery areas in Ohio and also flow charts explaining the structure of the Administrative Aging Network, National Aging Network, and JTPA.
