A mailed questionnaire completed by 86 parents of preschool and kindergarten children showed overall positive attitudes toward computers and computer use by young children with more positive attitudes among those parents whose children used computers in school. Begin, Jean; Gagne, Francoys – Journal for the Education of the Gifted, 1994
A survey of 139 teachers and 138 parents identified educational level and family income as predictors of attitudes toward gifted education. Analysis of extracted principal components found that socioeconomic status and contact with giftedness explained 12% and 10%, respectively, of the variance in attitude scores. (Author/DB)
