Uses meta-analytic techniques to synthesize findings on Black-White differences in subjective well-being among noninstitutionalized adults. Finds that race is related to subjective well-being, with Whites reporting slightly higher levels of subjective well-being than Blacks. (Author/SO)

Administered the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory and the Problem Solving Inventory to 20 Black and 32 White inmates. Recidivists scored significantly higher on the impulsive scale of the Problem Solving Inventory.
