Tuition and Fees at Colorado Public Colleges and Universities, 1993-94.
Colorado Commission on Higher Education, Denver.
This report presents findings from the annual tuition and fee survey of public two- and four-year colleges and universities in the state of Colorado. It presents the survey findings in a comparative summary format. The report shows that all governing boards complied with all the policies set forth by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education. These policies include the following requirements: (1) that the average tuition rate for full-time student be between 25 percent and 30 percent of the cost of the academic program; (2) that the maximum percentage increase in resident undergraduate tuition at a campus be twice the rate of increase in the Higher Education Pricing Index; (3) that the semester tuition charges to part-time resident undergraduates not exceed the tuition charges for full-time resident undergraduate students; (4) that the percentage increase in tuition for full-time non-resident students who pay less than 100 percent of the cost of the academic program be at least equal to the percentage increase for full-time resident undergraduate students; (5) that no student fees be used to support academic facility construction; and (6) that all campuses annually review and approve all mandatory campus-wide fees. Appendices, comprising over 60 percent of the report, provide tables giving comparative statistical data by institution. (GLR)
